The first Social Butterflies meet-up is taking place at The Forge in Bristol on Wednesday 5th July, 7pm-9.30pm. The evening will be an informal opportunity to meet like-minded women from the small business community, digital freelancers, bloggers and influencers who live in and around Bristol. This launch event is invitation only, but if it’s a success I hope to announce more ticketed events soon.

I’m very happy to announce that Hayley Southwood, owner of Southwood Stores and Southwood Social Hub, will be giving a talk about her experiences and answering your questions. Hayley, runs her own business and is also very active on the social media scene: a genuine connector who will hopefully inspire you all.

I started Social Butterflies because as a mother wanting to get back into work I didn’t feel there was a community that spoke to me. I didn’t identify with the whole ‘brand-mum’ phenomenon, but equally I felt locked out of the career world too. My intention is to create opportunities for women like me who want make connections, learn from each other and hopefully enable future collaborations.
